The big problem for the EU is the "domino effect": When A State in the EU goes bankrupt, Then all other member states are affected. And because the countries do not have their own currency anymore, it might even mean the end of the EURO! Such an event would cause in any case, monetary chaos in Europe, and threaten the political stability of the entire continent.
