Woman stabbed in stomach in street attack in Handsworth

Another stabbing in muticultural Handsworth. The Birmingham mail doesn't include the race of the attackers, or the race of the victim.
The Birmingham Mail reports A woman was stabbed in the stomach as she grappled with two masked raiders who tried to steal her handbag.
The 59-year-old victim from Handsworth had stepped off the Midland Metro tram and walked into Benson Road, Soho, when she was attacked.
Police said two men, with scarves covering their faces, confronted the woman and tried to snatch her handbag.
The terrified victim desperately fought back against the thugs.
During the incident she suffered knife wounds to her hands and stomach.
She later went to hospital for treatment following the incident at 8.30pm on Tuesday. Article
