Education Education Education! Up to 100 college lecturers to be axed in Birmingham city cuts

As British tax payers fund education in countries all over the world via foreign aid (now called international development), colleges in the second city are being starved of funds.

For proper investment in education, research, and university scholarships for those with the ability vote British National Party. To fund schools in Nigeria, India, and South Africa while are own system is starved of funding vote Labour, Lib Dem, or Conservative.


The Birminghham Mail reports

HUNDREDS of Birmingham lecturers said they would go on strike if they were forced out of their jobs as part of government cuts.

Colleges across the city are facing a crisis after £10 million was slashed from their collective budgets. Dozens of adult learning courses are set to be axed from September and as many as 100 jobs are due to be axed at Birmingham Metropolitan College alone.

University and College Union members were due to meet today to discuss their response to the redundancies as a demonstration was scheduled to take place in London. Read more
