St George day parade 2010 West Bromwich

For years St Georges day was ignored and discouraged in our country. Just as flying the English flag could lead to a knock on the door from a policeman, it was implied by councils across England that St George day parades were in some way racist.

In 2008 the council tried to get the march banned, they failed. Then they tried to make the event some kind of 'multicultural fun day', again they failed. The West Bromwich parade is the largest in the country and likely to be bigger still this year.
Bring your flag!

2010 St George's Day parade starts at 10am, Sunday the 25th of April, at Westminster Road, Stone Cross, West Bromwich, B71 3LB.
